    • Minimum load price 
    • $184.50 per ton after, in 20 lbs. increments. $15.50 minimum load charge of up to 180LBS
  • RECYCLING AND PRICING
Cardboard, tin, aluminum cans, Auto batteries can be recycled in the red recycling sleds located in Inchelium and the grey bins at the Torboy Transfer Station.
Additional recycling at the Torboy Transfer Station:  used oil, antifreeze and e-cycling for free anytime the transfer station is open to the public. There is a $25.00 charge for anything that has or has had freon in it (WHITE GOODS) all other metal is free. There will be a new fee of $20.00 for mattresses April 1,2024. NO TIRES!!! Other charges $35.00 Fee for returned checks or short pays. $20.00 fee for unsecured loads. We will now be accepting paint for free on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from Paint Care Washington. 

We DO NOT ACCEPT vehicles for scrap.

Solid Waste Advisory Committee

The Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC) is a committee appointed by the Board of Commissioners and represents a broad spectrum of Ferry County. The SWAC advises the County Commissioners on aspects of the Solid Waste Management Plan and amendments and addenda to the plan. They assist in the development of programs & policies concerning Solid Waste. The review and Comment on proposed legislative Solid Waste Rules, policies and ordinances.

SWAC COMMITTEE MEMBERS NEEDED:
The Ferry County Board of Commissioner’s are requesting applications to fill eight open positions on the Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC). The Ferry County SWAC is an advisory committee appointed by the County Commissioners to provide a balanced representation of the citizen interests of the county and to advise and make recommendations on solid waste issues. Members attend 3 meetings a year. One in February, one in April and one in October. SWAC members serve without compensation.

If you are interested in serving on the SWAC, please submit a letter of interest to the Ferry County Board of Commissioners Office, 290 E. Tessie Ave., Republic, WA 99166 or e-mail  commissioners@co.ferry.wa.us. Briefly state in your letter why you are interested in serving on the SWAC, and include any related background experience that you may have. If you have any questions regarding the SWAC, please feel free to contact the Ferry County Public Works Solid Waste Division at 775-5225, ex. 4110.
