SEEKING COUNTY ENGINEER PART TIME
Ferry County Public Works has an immediate opening for the Part Time position of County Engineer. Closing Date: until filled Ferry County is a rural county in north central Washington. Population is 7,500 with 700 miles of county road. This position requires the applicant to be a Professional Engineer registered in Washington State. The County Engineer shall examine and certify to the Board all estimates and all bills for labor, materials, provisions, and supplies with respect to county roads; prepare standards of construction of roads and bridges; supervise, under the direction of the Board, the establishing, laying out, constructing, altering, improving, repairing, and maintaining all county roads in the county; shall prepare or supervise the preparation of plans and specifications for all road construction work where necessary; shall keep and maintain all records as required by statute; and shall perform such other duties as may be required by the Board. Knowledge of RCWs, WACs, as well as WSDOT and CRAB policies is essential.
