The transfer station will be closed to the public to observe the following holidays for 2010:
- New Year's Day - Saturday, January 2, 2010
- Thanksgiving Day - Thursday, November 25, 2010
- Christmas Day - Saturday, December 25, 2010
Recycling:
Paper, cardboard, tin & aluminum cans can be recycled in the Red recycle containers located in Curlew, Inchelium, Republic, Barney's Junction, Torboy Transfer Station and the Curlew Job Corp.
Additional recycling at the Torboy Transfer Station: used oil, antifreeze and e-cycling.

Solid Waste Advisory Committee
The Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC) is a committee appointed by the Board of Commissioners and represents a broad spectrum of Ferry County. The SWAC advises the County Commissioners on aspects of the Solid Waste Management Plan and amendments and addenda to the plan. They assist in the development of programs & policies concerning Solid Waste. The review and Comment on proposed legislative Solid Waste Rules, policies and ordinances.
If you are interested in serving on the SWAC Board, please submit a letter of interest to the Ferry County Board of Commissioners, 290 E. Tessie Ave, Republic, WA 99166
Solid Waste Advisory Committee has temporarily approved at the February meeting to meet the 2nd Monday of the 1st month of each quarter in the old commissioner's meeting room in the courthouse @5:00pm. The public is encouraged to attend.
