TORBOY TRANSFER STATION INDEPENDENCE DAY
(4TH OF JULY) HOLIDAY CLOSURE
The Torboy Transfer Station will be CLOSED on Saturday, July 2, 2016 in observance of Independence Day. The Torboy Transfer Station will resume normal public business hours at 8:00am on Tuesday, July 5, 2016.

The transfer station will be closed to observe the following holidays for 2015:
- January 1, 2015 (Thursday) - to observe New Year's Day
- November 11, 2015 (Wednesday) - to observe Veteran's Day
- November 26, 2015 (Thursday) - to observe Thanksgiving
- November 28, 2015 (Saturday) - to observe Thanksgiving
- December 25, 2015 (Friday) - to observe Christmas
- January 1, 2016 (Friday) - to observe New Year's Day
Paper, cardboard, milk jugs, tin & aluminum cans can be recycled in the Red recycle containers located in Curlew, Inchelium, Torboy Transfer Station.
Additional recycling at the Torboy Transfer Station: metal including refrigerator, freezer (anything that had Freon in it), used oil, antifreeze and e-cycling for free anytime the transfer station is open to the public.
is a new program that provides responsible recycling of computers, monitors and TVs in our state. As of January 2009, electronics manufacturers in Washington will take responsibility for recycling these products.

Solid Waste Advisory Committee
The Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC) is a committee appointed by the Board of Commissioners and represents a broad spectrum of Ferry County. The SWAC advises the County Commissioners on aspects of the Solid Waste Management Plan and amendments and addenda to the plan. They assist in the development of programs & policies concerning Solid Waste. The review and Comment on proposed legislative Solid Waste Rules, policies and ordinances.
